October home prices up, sales down.

Norhill Realty November 17, 2010

Well, this isn't great news for your average Realtor, but  it is good news for Houston homeowners.  According to the Houston Association of Realtors' most recent market report, October sales remained sluggish.  First-time home buyers remain in short supply, as many of them moved up their purchase time-line to take advantage of the First-time buyer home buyer credit.   Despite muted demand, prices remain stable.  Considering many markets throughout the country are experiencing price declines, this is positive news for our hometown.  Houston baby!  No better place in the country to weather a Great Recession.
